Dakshinkali Temple is one of Nepal’s most revered Hindu pilgrimage areas which is dedicated to the goddess Kali, the goddess who is a fierce and powerful deity associated with destruction and transformation. It is situated in a lush forested area near the Trishuli River, the temple is an important center for the local devotee, especially during festival like Dashain, when the large number of people comes to offer prayers and animals sacrifices to seek blessing for strength and protection. The temple’s architecture is simple yet striking, with a dark stone structure and a large, intricately carved idol of Kali at the center.

Visitors can witness daily rituals, including offering of flowers, fruits and sacrifices which are integral to the worship of Kali. While the temple is primarily religious site, its serene surrounding and scenic views of the valley make it a unique and peaceful spot for visitors to explore where the outskirts of the valley, and you can visit it within a day.

Once you land at Tribhuvan International Airport, you'll be greeted by our company representative. They’ll guide you to the hotel for check-in, where you'll spend the night in Kathmandu.

We’ll start our day by enjoying the morning Aarti at Pashupatinath Temple. After the Aarti, we’ll visit Jal Narayan and Guheswari Temple. After exploring Guheswari Temple, we’ll have lunch and then head to the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Once we’ve finished visiting the World Heritage Site, we’ll return to the hotel and spend the night in Kathmandu

We’ll start our day by driving towards Dakshinkali, located about 23 kilometres south of the Kathmandu Valley. After a 1 to 2-hour drive, we’ll arrive at Dakshinkali Temple. Once you reach the temple, you’ll notice the air around is often filled with the sound of chanting and the rhythmic drumming that accompanies the ceremonies. After completing your darshan at Dakshinkali Temple, we’ll explore Taudaha Lake and Chobar Gorge, where it’s believed that Manjushree cut the gorge to drain the lake, which later formed the Kathmandu Valley. After the darshan at Dakshinkali Temple, we’ll return to Kathmandu and spend the night.
