Kathmandu is the capital of Nepal that is home to rich tapestry of temples that reflect the country’s deep spiritual heritage. The Pashupatinath Temple located on the bank of the Bagmati River where it draws pilgrims from around the globe. Its intricate pagoda-style architecture, combined along the riverbanks, makes for a deeply moving experience. Visitors can witness traditional rituals, observe religious ceremonies, and, if luck; see the famous “living goddess” or Kumari, who resides in her temple nearby.

Another iconic site is Swayambhunath which is also known as the Monkey temple which sits atop a hill overlooking the valley. The UNESCO World Heritage Sites is center of both Buddhist and Hindu worship, featuring a large Stupa with the all-seeing eyes of Buddha painted on it. Pilgrims from different faiths circumambulate the Stupa, turning the prayer wheels and chanting mantras, making the site both a spiritual and cultural local point of the city. Not far from here is the Bouddhanath Stupa, which is one of the largest stupas in the world. It is a central hub of Tibetan Buddhism where you can observe devotees circumambulating the Stupa where turning prayer wheels.

In the heart of Kathmandu Durbar Square, you will find Manju Deval Temple and Bhagwati Temple, showcasing intricate wood carving and vibrant architecture heritage of the region. With its centuries-old temples, bustling atmosphere, and traditional craftsmanship, Durbar Square is a place where visitors can immerse themselves in the religious and historical soul of Kathmandu. For a more tranquil experience, venture outside the city to Dakshinkali Temple, dedicated to the goddess Kali, where animals are sacrifices are still part of the worship. This tour reveals the deep religious significance of the Kathmandu valley that offer a glimpse into Nepal’s rich spiritual traditions.

Once you land at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be greeted by a representative of our company, who will guide you to the hotel for check-in. You will then spend the night in Kathmandu.

Start the day by attending the morning Aarati at Pashupatinath Temple. After the Aarati, we will have breakfast, and then, after breakfast, we will head to another destination—Jal Narayan Temple, also known as Budhanilkantha or the Sleeping Vishnu Temple. Once we have finished visiting Jal Narayan Temple, we will have lunch and then head towards Guheswari Temple, where it is believed to be the Shakti Chair of Pashupatinath Temple. After exploring Guheswari Temple, we will return to the hotel and spend the night.

Today is the second day of sightseeing in the Kathmandu Valley, where we will visit several UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Firstly, we will visit Swayambhunath, also known as the Monkey Temple. After that, we will visit Bouddhanath, where you can witness the world’s largest Stupa. Following this, we will explore Kathmandu Durbar Square, allowing you to immerse yourselves in the religious and historical essence of Kathmandu. Once we have completed our visit to Kathmandu Durbar Square, we’ll return to the hotel for some rest. If you wish, in the evening, you can visit Pashupatinath to enjoy the evening Aarati. After the Aarati, we will return to the hotel to spend the night.
