Jomsom Muktinath Poonhill Trekking

Jomsom Muktinath Poonhill Trekking

Jomsom Muktinath Poonhill trekking is a short, easy trek in Nepal. These 13 days of trekking include Kathmandu, Pokhara, Jomsom, Muktinath, and Poonhill. It involves a short Himalayan flight from Jomsom to Pokhara. The holy temple Muktinath, which lies at an altitude of 3800 meters, is the highest altitude we reach. It is a great opportunity to explore a different ethnic group of Nepal, their lifestyle, and culture. Typical Tibetan lifestyles in the Muktinath area, Thakalis in the Jomsom area, Magars, Chettri, and Brahmin in the Poonhill area, and their warm hospitality, which makes our trip more memorable. Famous Nepali villages like Ghorepani, Marpha, Kagbeni, Muktinath, and many others are included in our itinerary. Natural hot spring in Tatopani is another top-listed most visited place in the Jomsom Muktinath Poonhill Trek. Two types of landscape are involved in this trekking: the Tibetan plateau landscape in the Jomsom Muktinath area, and the dense forest areas of Poonhill. The Himalayas are panoramic from every part of the trek, but even more panoramic from Ghorepani, Poonhill. You can experience the best sunrise view and more panoramic Himalayas from Poonhill.

Our journey starts with a 6-hour drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara. You have the option to take a private car or 25 minutes flight from Kathmandu. The next day, a short drive to Nayapool and start our trekking to Ulleri. Our first view of Himchuli and Annapurna South will start from here. It is another memorable day when you reach Ghorepani. Best panoramic views of mountains, including Dhaulagiri range, Annapurna range, Fishtail, Gangapurna range, are seen from Poonhill (3200m) with the best sunrise view. Another famous point of the Jomsom Muktinath Poonhill Trekking is Muktinath. It is the holiest place, which is naturally as well as religiously rich. When we trek down from Ghorepani to Tatopani, we have a chance to take a natural hot spring bath. The typical local villages and apple fields are also attractions of this route. Marpha, Kagbeni, and several other villages are abundant with the oldest Buddhist stupas. At the end of the trek, we take a short 15-minute flight to Pokhara from Jomsom.
