Undertaking the pilgrimage to Mount Kailash is not merely a journey through the Himalayas—it is a passage through the soul. Often described as one of the most sacred and transformative pilgrimages in the world, the experience of circumambulating (parikrama) this majestic peak left an indelible imprint on my mind, body, and spirit. The four-day parikrama around Mount Kailash is physically demanding but spiritually uplifting. The altitude—often above 16,000 feet—tests your endurance and humility. Each step becomes a prayer. The climb to Dolma La Pass, the highest point at around 18,600 feet, is especially challenging. Yet, reaching the pass feels like a personal rebirth—raw, emotional, and cleansing. At the end of the pilgrimage, I felt emptied in the best way possible—of restlessness, doubt, and fear. In their place came stillness, gratitude, and a renewed sense of purpose. Mount Kailash doesn’t just change your destination—it changes you.If you're called to this pilgrimage, listen. It's not an easy journey, but it is an unforgettable one. Sacred, silent, and deeply personal—Mount Kailash is not just a mountain. It is a mirror of the soul.Oh Namah Shivayaa.
